Khajjiar (Dalhousie)

Early in the morning

I reached Dalhousie, as soon as I deboarded the bus. I could feel the chilly winds touching my cheeks .(do take out 1 sweater out of yr luggage). You will get many taxi drivers in the bus stop. Try going for a little bargaining tactic. I managed to hire a taxi for 800 rupees to KHAJJIAR.

The drivers are mostly localities and are very welcoming. You can have chai/coffee on your way it’s  up to you. It took one hour to reach KHAJJIAR.

Let me tell you WHAT mesmerizing beauty it was to experience there.

Those lush green trees and that scenic beauty, no doubt why its called our India’s Mini Switzerland.

Hotels at Khajjiar

Coming to the accommodation part, my driver took me directly to the main on spot hotels, there were many hotels on the way too, like 1-2 km away, but I chose for those on spot hotels, it was quite budget friendly and the food and service was also good.

But my personal suggestion would be if you are travelling alone you should probably stay on city areas because as soon as the sun sets in Khajjiar it actually becomes quite gloomy out there. You would hardly see any people out there and looking outside the window I could tell you it gave me creepy thrills .

Everything is very lively and mesmerising in the morning, its good to see lots of tourists from all across the country but at night it really becomes a dark silent area.

Things to do-

It’s very serene and calm in Khajjiar, so for walks, click lots of amazing pictures, do some adventurous sports(they are bit costly) in short Khajjiar is very good for having those peaceful moments and photography.

You can spend 3-4 hrs , chill, relax with your family and view the beautiful scenes.

There are many stalls for eatables so don’t worry about the food and yes restaurants are also there.

CONCLUSION of KHAJJIAR (Dalhousie) :

Again there is not much to do in Khajjiar but it’s not just someplace you could skip either if you are visiting Dalhousie then visit Khajjiar is a must.
